ALABAMA. – It was a special night at Dave Langham Chapter No. 536, Theodore, AL on January 13, 2011, when we initiated an entire family into our Chapter. We made Chapter history as well as family history with the initiation of Brother Bruce Parden, Father, Sister Retha Parden, Mother, Sister Laura Parden Barnett, Daughter, and Sister Courtney Barnett, Granddaughter. It is indeed an honor and pleasure to initiate three generations into our Order on the same night.

We have initiated 12 new members in the last three months, along with four reinstatements and one affiliation. We have two new petitions on the desk at the present time. Our Chapter has really had a burst of growth in the last six months. We attribute this to a group of officers and members working together, with the Masonic brothers of George U. Potter Lodge, Theodore, to enhance membership through awareness, enthusiasm and activity.
Our Worthy Matron, Sister Mary Dunagan, and Worthy Patron, Brother Woodie Dunagan are leaders that any Charter would be proud to have. They work and lead with their corps of officers and members, with ideas that are interesting and designed to keep us busy at each meeting. We believe that it is essential to have fun, good food, lots of fellowship, most o f all working together and being faithful to keep the lessons and spirit of our star strong among our members.
